JDD,

Another menu 4 in between those two was Country Captain Chicken. I know many folks who also hate that one. But it is still to this day one of my favorite menus.

2008 was the best year for the Menu 4. If noone else snags that thing, I would be game for it just name your price. I also have some vintage MREs that are in pretty darn good shape for trade.

Must have eaten too much of this stuff... because now I actually like the vomelet. Still fun to rag on it like in that video.. (dvalin thank you again for that thing. cannot believe it's been over a year already!)

If I don't see a response from the OP in a week or so, we can make a deal.

Are wanting the entire MRE or only the Vomlet? I have an unopened 2008, Menu 4 available. Got it sometime around 2009-2011. Been stored in the proverbial "cool, dry place" since then. Have consumed a few other menus from the case with no issue. The rest of the contents (according to the menu page) are breakfast oriented.

These horrible things were served up from 2004 to 2008. The precursor to this particular atrocity was the "Omelet with Ham" (also Menu 4) from 1988 to 1994. I did eat at least one Ham Omelet and if memory serves, it was not very good. :vomit:

Are you allowing others on this board to make you question your own judgement? :D

Dude you should go for it and get it! If you break up crackers, add the salsa verde and some salt, it is really not too bad. As fun as it is to hail it as the worst, I still say it was a worthy effort by Natick. If it had been more widely accepted, it could have been the more nourishing alternative to it's replacement - maple sausage patty. Which maple sausage has no joke half the protein content as the veggie omelet. And those calories were replaced with extra sugar in that pack of table syrup.

Now if you end up passing on it and JaneDoe does not get any other takers who really wanna try it, I will jump on it and eat that thing for breakfast.

I must be weird. Not only did I enjoy C-Rations, I really enjoyed the C-rat scrambled eggs and ham. Picking up dog poop in a friend's yard, I dug a can of it up that was well over 20 years old. The inner can lining stuck to the eggs but I still ate the rest of it.

I didn't actually mind the flavor of the Vomlet, I just didn't like the texture though I never tried it when heated up. Also I think I only tried the with ham version. I ate it about 30 years ago.

You may as well jump on it Steve as I'm pretty much done w/ rations for the month and I'd hate for my lack of ability to acquire one at this time hold back from someone else getting it. I believe it will be more possible for me to acquire one in a week or two (get paid). So snag this one and I'll snag the next

I think I may have had a vomelt when I was a recruit, but I'm not 100% sure so I want to experience it all over again just to make sure..lol

So.. Who wants this Vomlet?

I may have another one of these available. Will check the stockpile when I get home this weekend.

Trades are better than a sale. What ya got? :D
