Ukrainian ration on eBay

Post by Lifesaver » Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:19 pm

Okay, if anyone won the lottery, here is one you do not see too often.

I have no idea what shipping from Russia will be. I'm guessing at least as much as the Spanish ration shown in another thread (18 EURO). However, if you truly want a rare ration, I think this one would qualify.

Nice find, Lifesaver. It's showing up as US$39.95 Buy-it-Now with $21.45 shipping to me (in NC).

Something interesting about the auction...in the title it says "Ukrainain Army Military Soldier Food Daily Ration" but in the description, it says "Original Russian Army Military Soldier Food Ration". Since it seems like a fairly new ration, I wonder which one it is, Ukrainian or Russian?

Shipping is displayed as $21.45 to the U.S. So for a total of $61.40, based on the Buy It Now price, it looks a bit on the steep side. What's it got in there? Beluga caviar?

I noticed that too. I'm not sure which it is. The dates on it look good, though. After posting, I noticed the postage to me in Colorado was quoted as $21.45. I guess I should have read down a bit further before posting. Oops.

That one does look like one of the more current Russian rations - kind of like the one I have here:
