Japanese MRE's

Post by ItCameFromThailand »

I know everybody may be skeptical about buying on ebay recently, but if you want Japanese MRE's, there are about 10 different types available today from user rareproductsjp, including a type 1. Just search "JSDF ration"

I do want a few of those but at $99 each I can already feel my wallet burning. Maybe he'll lower the prices a bit if they don't sell, like what he did with the canned rations.

Yeah、 100 bucks is crazy for such bare bones meals and he does drop prices after a while, but a few of these tempt me because i have never even seen them for sale before. I didn't even know they still made the type 1's with the paper labels.

One interesting thing now that I am checking into it more, is that the Hamburg steak flavor this guy is selling (sukiyaki) is a different type than the one Steve1989 showed (nikomi) a few months back, and is also different than the one mremountain was selling previously(hayashi). I never noticed how much JSDF changes up their menus.

Yeah they're pretty damn hard to find and I've never seen so many variations before. Maybe they started using the paper labels for the menus they intend to swap out? I'd guess the paper label is cheaper for a limited run menu. And I never noticed the different variations of hamburger steak before. I guess a slab of beef gets kinda boring, like how steve had mediocre remarks towards it, so they decided to switch it up a few times.
