Mountain House Freeze Dried Foods

Post by MCIera » Fri Jun 22, 2007 10:23 pm

If anyone is looking for slightly discounted foods from Mountain House, they have a 25% off sale on their Marine Cuisine brand of foods at http://www.mtnhse.com/miva/merchant.mv? ... y_Code=MHS. Same stuff as the Mountain House brand, just different packaging. Their shipping is a flat $7.50 for orders under $50 and Free on orders over $50 in the continental US (flat 20% of order for Alaska/Hawaii)

Thanks for posting the link, MCIera. That's a decent deal for trying out some of their products. They had a similar sale last year - but I think it was 40% off then - and I picked up a bunch of packages to try. You're right - it's the exact same stuff as the regular Mountain House food.

If you're looking to seriously stock up on some Mountain House, keep an eye out for the "Mountain House Group Buy" thread over at warrifles.com:

http://warrifles.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=255

Their prices are about as low as you'll ever find (a quick checked showed a case of 12 2-serving pouches of Spaghetti was $19.20 - $1.55 per pouch).

Thanks for the tip, there are some great prices on those warrifle group buys. I could be in the market for some of the ProPaks.

I think that $19.20 price is for a case of 6 pouches (12 "servings") but at a bit over $3 per pouch, it's still a great price.

I saw those prices on the Mt house website the other night, am planning on ordering quite a few to test before the next group buy. Thanks for posting though.....

Ah, good catch, MCIera. I thought those prices sounded a little too good to be true but it was late and I tried to decipher that spreadsheet of prices as best I could. :-)

So make that $3.10 per pouch. That brings it down to about a 56% discount.

Looks like there may be another group buy of Mountain House products starting up tomorrow over at Warrifiles to beat a pending price increase.
