"le Chef" - is this a product of the manufacturer "HERTA GmbH"?

of course the description...
i bought my meal at "NETTO - Markendiscount". its manufactured by "BUSS GmbH & Co. KG - Ottersberg".

they also sell the meal "jägertopf".

do you think that "feddeck-dauerwaren" is selling the meal from "HERTA" only? (ebay user know what i am talking about...)

Would you happen to know why the German ready meals are packed in foil trays rather than plastic? Is it for ecological impact reasons? While the use of plastic in the U.S. does make it easier to just pop the try into the microwave, it does present a disposal issue.

Also, isn't LIDL somewhat notorious for their abuses of employment regulations, something like our Wal*Mart stores?

it doesnt have any ecological aspect that its in the alu-trays. it is boxes in this trays for about 30 years when no one talked about the environmental aspect. we also have the "travellunch" menus which are packed in bags....

yes - this what you said about LIDL is true...

MCIera,

they choised the aluminum wrap. because the best before will depend of the best before from the wrap.

Aluminum is good for more than 30 years, also the food inside ;)

I think the Bundeswehr guys don't go to the field with a microwave oven in their rucksack but rather with an Esbit cooker, so aluminium is much more convenient

Same thing in France for Lidl employees, even with our famous social laws (well, the good point is that they can do a strike every week if they want  )
