At the gun show today, I picked up 5 2012 MCWs today for $8 each. They were also selling cases for $90 (had 2 to sell, I think). I initially bought 1 meal, then stopped back to get a couple more and all of the full cases were then gone.
I got the following meals:
Meal 1: Chicken, Spicy Oriental with Rice
Meal 2: Beef Stroganoff with Noodles
Meal 5: Chicken and Rice
Meal 9: Rice and Chicken, Mexican Style
Meal 11: Scrambled Eggs and Bacon Pieces
Although they are over 6 years old, I understand that these generally hold up a little better than standard MREs due to having a freeze-dried main entree. I'll probably try one soon and set the others aside.

Re: Picked up some MCWs today
Congratulations on your score! I'm surprised you found those at a gun show given how somewhat rare they are. $90 for a case isn't too bad considering they typically sell for around $150 per case on eBay. Given they are six years old, it's not exactly a killer deal either. Back in 2016, I met a guy that had a whole freakin' garage full of 2013 MCW cases selling for $60 per case. I think I picked up about 10 since that was the best deal I'd ever seen. I was just getting into rations at the time. I wonder if he still has them. I'd consider calling him and asking if he's willing to part with a few, but I don't want to be a bother.

The age was definitely why I didn't jump on more right away. Had they been a few years newer, I'm sure I would have brought home a case.
