Ja, and that "SF" on MRE cases means "Special Forces", so pay me 50 bucks extra

Re: New British 12HR Rations
I got mine for little less than that, but they were also expensive, considering these are just single meals.michel2827 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 13, 2018 3:39 pmJust have seen this thread. If i'm not totally wrong i just got one of these ration packs on ebay. I think it is menu 6. Cost me about 28€. Have to wait for it now. When it has arrived i can make some pics of it

He said that he got them from SAS units that were training in Germany, so thats why he said that they were SAS.

'12 HR Ration (Single Meal Ration)' is not so although '24 HR Enhanced Ration' is the ration for Special Forces.
However, since the ration is lightweight, Special Forces may use it...
(6) 24 Hr Enhanced Ration. This ration is based on the standard 24 Hr ration and contains additional components and a Flameless Ration Heater to increase the nutritional values to 4500kcls per day. The ration is designed for use by SF and other specialist units and is not available for general consumption. The ration is currently supplied in 10 menu variants and is packed into plastic bag with at least one of each variant into an outer box.
https://pdfsecret.com/download/operatio ... 8fd3a9_pdfc. Single Meal Ration (SMR). This is a light-weight ration designed specifically for sustainment over a specific period. It is issued with a Flameless Ration Heater (FRH) dispensing with the requirement for an additional heating source. Contents include a main meal pouch, a range of snack items and both isotonic drink and hot beverage powders but no matches. The SMR provides a minimum of 1400 kcal per ration, supplied in 10 menu variants, including one vegetarian, mixed per box.
The 12 Hr ORP is a lightweight ration designed for patrolling for durations from 4 – 12 hours. It
comes complete with a FRH thus dispensing with the requirement for an additional heating source.
In addition to a main meal in a retort pouch, it also contains a number of snack items and drink
powders, but NO hot beverage items. Due to its utility in fulfilling a number of requirements, e.g.
for drivers, remote guard posts etc, and its ambient shelf stable nature, it is available to any
unit worldwide where this type of operational ration is required. It is also useful in meeting a
nutrition gap where the daily energy expenditure is expected to be in excess of 6,000 Kcals,
e.g. arduous training.
The 12 Hr ration provides a minimum of 2,000 Kcals per ration and currently 10 menu
choices are available including one vegetarian.
