Happy Memorial day!(Free MRE drawing)

Post by Sturm44 » Mon May 28, 2018 2:03 pm

Hey all, Happy Memorial day! I'd like to share my heartfelt thanks to those who served, and do something fun with the community. I have a Menu 14 here with a DOP of february 2016 that I'd like to give away if anyone's interested, and heck, shipping's even on me*.

If you want in, it's simple. First 12 people to post their favorite ration will be entered, and your number correspondes with what order you posed in. First response is 1, second is 2, etc. I'll roll a d12 tonight when I get back from the festivities to determine the winner.

Good luck all, and have a good one!

*Winner must be in the contiguous United States(Sorry Alaska/Hawaii)

My favorite would have to be the Australian CR1M. There's a lot of neat stuff they put in that ration, including Musk flavored candies (ever had those before?), a tasty Chocolate Ration, canned cheese and so much other goodness. Thank you!

good question....

so far I'd have to say it's a toss up between Spanish B2 unit and good old fashioned Beef Stew MRE....but the Brown Bag Corned Beef hash is not far behind as a secondary choice...

So many choices make it hard to choose just one...

My favorite is any British ORP that contains the all day breakfast. I have yet to have one I didn't like and they are jammed packed with all kinds of tasty goods! One ration can conceivably be streached out to last 2 days too.

Hey man! That's really cool of you to do that. My favorite ration so far is the Italian ration mod g!
Killed by rancid pound-cake. I know that will be on my tomb stone.

I still think the best one overall is the French RCIR with sausages in spicy sauce and salt pork + lentils, which incidentally was the first international ration I ever tried. Maybe it is because it was the first though?

Happy Memorial Day to you all as well!

I'll bite.

Brand spankin' shiny noob and I haven't had an MRE since the early 90's

But I kinda actually liked the gelatinous weirdness of the Chicken Ala king from back in the day.
It seemed like a good idea at the time....

Good stuff with the give away! Thanks for doing this.

My favorite so far is the Polish s-rg-3 24 hour ration. I really like Polish food, heck I like Eastern European food in general. .
