Historical MRE Reproductions

I was wondering: Just how much of a market is there for reproductions among the community, specifically the second world war? I did a cursory search on google, and found 2 Stores online that sell actual edible ones everything else is mock ups of boxes that are empty. Has anyone ever tried these? And if so, how do they stack up? The reason I ask is that eventually I'd like to try my hand at it. I've made quite a few D-Ration chocolate bars from a recipe I've found on this forum, I even have molds that fit the government specification so it's been a majorly good time with making them for buddies, or even giving them to re-enactors at local events for a lark.

I have the German version of K-Ration, Iron ration and Gebirgsjager additional ration for high altitudes. All of it drinkable, edible and with cigarettes.

That and there was one other I forgot the name, the other one contacted me back so I should be good there.

Also I meant to ask you in the german epa that you sent, is it common for it not to coffee or chocolate? I don’t really know what the normal contents are but i thought there was normally coffee, tea etc

Right, Epas don´t have chocolate, but tea and coffee. So should yours.
