So, Here's the box that I received...A few items expired in 2013 and 2014 which I'll toss out...

I you're gonna throw those couple loose expired items out, you don't know much about rations and are throwing your money away. The single meals have good dates and the loose components" Best By " dates are guidelines, not hard expiration dates. I've regularly eaten items expired 10 yrs or more, with no problems mostly. Use your senses to test the ration, not the date code. I won't even eat mre cheese unless it's expired a cpl yrs lol. Takes on a nice funky blue cheese and feet aroma and a sharp tang.

Bottom line is that I'm sure new members get the golden boxes, and the rest of us get the trash. When I'm stationed at the base they never give us old mre's, they have them there and usually we get those to as we want. And I'm not talking anyone down.

In anything other than a emergency this is the conversation that would ensue when told to eat expired rations.

"Hey Sgt feed your troops these expired MRE's, hey sir go fuck yourself."

This isn't to take a shit on bob but I'm sure a senior non commissioned officer in the military knows plenty about rations.

Mike, the rations you received in the Grab Box were not expired. Maybe some of the components that always get thrown in as a bonus were past the best by date, but you didn't pay for those items. You paid for the rations in the Grab Box. However, that said, I always make sure people are satisfied with their purchases. Even though the extra components were "bonus" items, I still want you to be happy with the overall purchase. I will be in Germantown this weekend at the show. Since you feel you did not get a $55 dollar value for the box you received (shipping being part of the $55), please feel free to stop by the show and pick up $55 worth of rations from my tables.

Wow. Ok. Posted the other reply and then saw this one. Wow. First, I have no idea what someone gets when we ship them a box. Plenty of people have received their boxes and been super happy with them, especially with the bonus items. And when I say plenty of other people, I am referring to BOTH new people and veteran forum members. When I say the boxes are packed BEFORE posting the auction, that is exactly what I mean. You are the first person to ever complain about one of my grab boxes, and I have sold literally hundreds of them.

Regardless, come by the show and pick out $55 worth of rations.

I'm not bashing you Bob, from my experience most people don't complain or say anything when they feel stiffed, they just don't come back to your business. Me on the other hand will stand up at the state of the Union and point a finger at someone who I feel did me the wrong way. Again, I'm not calling you out, I'm just simply saying that I've heard from other members that those IMP's in bulk run around 9.00 each so I assume that the Russian single meal ration was not too expensive since I've bought several 24hr rations for around 20-30 with free shipping. Yes, Shipping was 13.75 but there's cheaper shipping services out there. Thant's all I'm saying. The bonus item's were expired as hell, which I tossed out. Some people on here like old crap, like eating 50 year old cheese...F THAT! I'm not dealing with the stomach pains for a video for free lol! But, Being that I teaded you a 2017 CR1M plus and extra 150.00 for 9 2015 IMP's and 1 2016 IMP. Some people would say hell no to that, wish I'd waited for newer rations now that I see these's peter out in 2018. My Canadian friend, who's in the Military there, said toss these after 2018. Coffee sounds good this weekend, I'll see you at the Agri-center. No hard feelings I hope?
