heating kits
heating kits
I saw french and russian rats have heating kits included. German EPAs, British GPs and other rations have any at least compressed fuel tablets? Or tablets are issued separately? Someone can help me, please?
I'm pretty sure that British rations don't include any heating sources - stoves, tablets, etc. - but those things are issued separately. On the British Rations page:
http://www.mreinfo.com/british-rations.html
there is a section about the stoves and fuel that soldiers are issued.

Re: heating kits
The French "tommy cooker" is a single use one and comes with each ration.ak70g2 wrote:I saw french and russian rats have heating kits included. German EPAs, British GPs and other rations have any at least compressed fuel tablets? Or tablets are issued separately? Someone can help me, please?
The German one is not for single use only, the soldier keep it in his butt pack, with the ESBIT box inside. The German rations, neither the EPa nor the EPa leicht, contain any fuel tablets.
Do you know what ESBIT stand´s for?

The Bundeswehr-ESBIT is different than this red civilian one. The box is white, having the NSN on it and does not contain 12 single, small tabletts. There are 6 big tabletts inside, seperatly packed in tinfolie
Will add some pictures later - have to return to work
