EPA's
As I understand it, when they say "Type" III, that's like our MRE "Menu" III - so III is all the same thing. German guys, feel free to step in here and correct me if I'm wrong.
I haven't updated it lately, but the last German EPa menus I have are here:

You might want to email the seller (he's a nice guy) and ask if he'll sell you any more - I managed to get him to sell me three more cases on the side.

I'm glad i bid high on that auction i won, i was up on top of a mountain when the auction ended so i couldn't watch out for snipers!
When i get them i'll be sure to post a good taste test report and some photos.
Look at this, a thread involving me starts days ago and i just see it now... i'm spending waaay too much time on rescue practices and not enough on the forums!

jubifahrer, since the guy is in Mississippi, one of the regions affected by Hurricane Katrina, and because he has a large number of cases of these rations, I'm guessing that he got them from the German rations that were handed out just before they were recalled. Either that, or he had a "source" for them after they were to be "disposed" of.
I haven't seen them yet, but I'm also guessing they're from 2004/2005. Again, if they really are from Katrina, I wouldn't think Germany would send over very old rations to help.

Got my case of epa's today
They are apparently 2002 issue, case in perfect shape and the rations look to be okay. But, there is one minor problem, I won type 2's and he sent me type 3's. I have to contact him about that
So if you buy or win any from make sure you contact him and get the right ones
