Danish 2015 No 01 "Chicken w/ noodles"

Post by housil » Wed Sep 27, 2017 3:59 pm

I spent last weekend at a Military Camp with just a single Danish ration.

I started with the dinner the first day:

Heating:

400g of a rich, filling "creamy" chicken w/ noodles dish

Dessert was that bar.

Too bad the inside picture got too blurred

Next meal was next days lunch:

Tuna w/ bread

Tuna was no big deal

Never had this Danish bread before. Not so "fluffy" and sweat as US wheat snack bread

In the afternoon we had "coffe & cake" from a T-18

Dinner was a typical German thing. No warm dish, just bread and pate. That´s where the German word "Abendbrot" ("evening bread") came from

German made rye bread

Spending the evening at the bonfire

Third day I ate another lunch from that ration:

Right, I ate the muesli for lunch

and it was great!

The second pate with the crackers. They were great, like the "Wasa" crisp bread

Here is the little video I made:

Having just finished reviewing a Menu 6 Danish myself I have to say I am very surprised at how great the quality was. And it's nice to see how the assortment of items changes so much, it must help with getting bored of the same snacks and sides all the time.

Housil, those UGR cookies were good right! They are one of my favorites too, however check out the Trans-Fat content in them 3.5g per ONE cookie! Everytime I eat them I feel like I am taking a few days off my life.....

Oh wow what a nice photo set and review, Housil! :)

And I agree with Cavguy - the trans fat in those cookies are insane!

I wonder how many grams of trans fat we have all eaten over the years in rations?
