I enjoyed that review. I'd try that out just for general interest. I've no problem with plain food, little bit of black pepper on the kasha and I'm pretty sure it'd be fine for me.
The tea I have seen in a military irp I'm almost certain and the cheese and apple jam certainly look similar.

For some reason I actually quite enjoy that plain style of stuff for times like today when I just wanted some fuel for gardening work in cold, damp weather without and big fuss or complication.

Where'd you source that from? The site on the box or eBay? If I knew a reliable source I'd try one just for (semi) scientific reasons

I got it from http://rocketstore.me/ but you certainly pay a premium for it over the base price. May be able to find them from other sources or maybe even from the manufacturer https://spec-pit.ru/.
