Does anyone know of a civilian version of some blackcurrant instant drink mix, similar to those in the 24 hour British ORP ration? That stuff is so amazing, I'd like to look into growing blackcurrant here. I didn't even know it existed until I had the drink mix. Based on the limited research I've done, It does appear to be far more common across the pond due to it being prohibited to grow here in the States a long time ago.
If someone has a surplus of them from the ORPs and are interested in selling and shipping them, I'm interested in that too!

Re: British ORP Blackcurrant Drink Mix
I haven't tried the British ORP blackcurrant mix, but I think it should be possible to find blackcurrant drink mixes in Europe. A quick google search left me mostly with alcoholic drink recipes (blackcurrant wine is really good!) and a few results of dry instant mixes in large packages (12 kgs or so) for use in canteens.

I believe it's called "Ribena" and is exported here and there to the US & Canada. It comes in powered and concentrate form, I believe.SentientTootsieRoll wrote:Does anyone know of a civilian version of some blackcurrant instant drink mix, similar to those in the 24 hour British ORP ration?
