It's hard to say but I do know that were included in a 1998 Chicken with Salsa MRE. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=7834

I think they might be older - I did just find a pack of Starburst from a 1991 MRE. It still says "New" on the front pack.

Will keep my eye out for Jolly Ranchers in MREs now.

According to the MRE Menus section on this site, the years 1997-1999 contained the Jolly Ranchers. And if you're in the market for current production 12 pack sticks, they still sell them on Amazon.

Yeah 2 years is short enough of a run to make MRE Jolly Ranchers a straight up candy collectable. Most are probably in a liquefied state too so any that are intact are a real find. And something that would probably require some sorta epoxy dipping for long term preservation.
