Powers Booth has died. Cause of death was due to natural causes. He died in his sleep. He was aged 68. His most recent notable movies were Agent Shield and Frank Miller's comic book adaptation, Sin City.

This movie was among my favorites, along with deliverance(which he didn't star in). I even enjoyed his character in the show Nashville...
it is what it is....

I saw this film in the theater with my father when it was released. Quite a powerful film by Walter Hill (The Warriors, 48 HRS). It was well liked by Vietnam Veterans because they could relate to its story content. Especially when the soldier painted the red paint across his chest. Got to like Powers Booth after this. And when VHS tapes were popular as rentals, snagged it again for a rereview. The cajon song at the end of the film was memorable. Recommended this film to some friends in school. They saw it. Believe it was the reason why some of them went into the Army.

I would count this as one of my favorite movies.

Powers Booth. Gone too soon.

The film is also notable for one of the Carradine Brothers.
