I know an area grocery store (Fred Meyer/Kroger) has an international section with foods from Europe. Next time I'm there, I will take a look and pick some up if I see them.

Awesome! I'll stop by and see what they have, probably tomorrow..I'll report my findings and if they have any ration-type items (such as hartkeks) I'll purchase and ship them for forum members, just reimburse cost and shipping of course :)

I rarely travel on that side of town because traffic is terrible :/ But anything for a chance at genuine hartkeks!

Yes, we have Leibniz readily avail. in US, also the Chocolate-covered version. Excellent-Yummy. See if I can get some at Wegmans. Maybe hard to find, except high-class grocers.

Well, I looked at the local Aldi's yesterday and absolutely no hartkeks :( LOTS of German and euro sweet/choco/tasty goods but not what I was looking for..
