French RCIR - Menu 4

Post by Synthpeter » Mon Mar 06, 2017 3:06 pm

My first French ration turned out to be a very pleasant experience (save for the weird coffee bar and surprisingly non-gourmet isotonic beverage).
Also, as I mentioned in another thread, it got quite lengthy. However I hope that's just the way it is with the first ration of a certain type or from a certain country.

You do great work, I wouldn't worry about the length of the videos too much. If the content is good then I find I won't get bored at all.

The French need to work on the drinks, I've had 2 RCIRs and both isotonic drink were made and poured away, the mint flavour was terrible, the orange was just bad, both were just weak/bland flavoured but salty and sweet at the same time.

Tried my first RCIR yesterday. The main (sausage in spicy sauce with rice) was one of the best things I've had out of a can. The drink was a big dissapointment .
Going to try and work my way through other countries before coming home and trying US MREs.
Tried so far : Lithuanian menu 10,5. Russian Emercom 24hr.French,UK, Canada, Germany

The isotonic drinks I had (lemon, mint) from RCIRs were with high amount of salt, so it tasted like salty water with a little bit of flavour. But the main meals were not salty at all and I had to add salt and pepper :)
