Real or Fake?

Hi, today i got this russian ration.

Do you think thats a real russion ration, it looks different to the one, kman is showing on his HP.

I think it's real. I have a bunch of pics of this type of ration that I haven't posted to the site yet. Let me work on it this evening and I'll try to either get the pics posted in this thread or on the Russian Rations page.

I remember reading somewhere that the ration you have is the one they used before the newer ones in boxes came out. It was on a website somewhere, I just don't remember which one.

I hadn't realized how large the green 'dry ration' was, the soldat's put it into perspective! Things are really bad when you look foward to a can of ... Carp !

True, dirtbag - but just take a look at jubifahrer's pictures of the Russian ration above next to an MRE...that's a huge ration!
