Difference between Russian 24h Army and Emercom IRP?
I've been looking around but so far haven't found any concise answer.
What's the difference between the Russian Army (green) and Emercom (blue) IRPs?
They look very similar on both the outside and inside, and the only obvious difference I can spot is different color on the packaging.
There's gotta be something content wise that makes one differentiate itself from the other, right?

The green camouflaged rations are made for police units, the blue ones are for emergency services, such as firefighters, rescue teams...ect
The one with the big star on the box is made for the Russian military.
All 3 rations look different from the outside, but they have almost identical contents inside. That's because they all produced by the same manufacturers.

Companies that assembles them are different so brands inside are different
There are different menues so this might not be 100% correct: 3 fruit drinks vs 2, 1 coffee vs 2 coffee . Army has fruit puree, multivitamin tablet, a pate, has no tomato paste (IIRC). Some crackers are different, there is no salo (salty bacon fat) can in EMERCOM rations.
By Army IRP I mean this

Yeah that's what I meant. When I check the weight on the two plastic ones; army green camo and blue, the weight is identical, which further leads me to believe they're exactly the same but only different wrapping, heh.SNiiP3R wrote: All 3 rations look different from the outside, but they have almost identical contents inside. The one with the paper carry box has different weight (lighter or heavier, depending on where I look

My main question was regarding the two 24h IRPs in plastic bags.
Well, I guess I should have asked before I ordered one of each, but at least I'll be able to see the difference myself the day I've opened them both up

Seems the paper box type has more stuff in it then, assuming the other two are identical.Asger wrote:Companies that assembles them are different so brands inside are different

I assume w.7kg = 1.7kg = plastic wrapped green or emercomAsger wrote:What rations are you comparing?Drew78 wrote:I believe you get an extra pate and extra jam and some chocolate and maybe one other small tin btwn the w.7kg and the 2.1/2.2kg ones ..

Both EMERCOM and Army have chocolate so I don't believe he is comparing this two. The FSB and MVD has that fruit bars, and also they have powdered milk and different type of spoons.Synthpeter wrote:I assume w.7kg = 1.7kg = plastic wrapped green or emercom

We have this very cool thred where TechMan compared the Army and MVD ration, the best thing beside making this topic is the fact both rations are menue number 2 viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6892

Edit: Ok, not initially, but seeing as the blue emercom and green ones appear to be the same...
