Japanese Ration Packaging Design Change
The packaging design of Japanese ration was changed a little.
The message "RESALE BAN" of four big characters was added.
Until now, some SDF members sold, without eating the provided rations.
SDF did not interfere with it for many years, but SDF recently changed its policy.
Three SDF members were already dismissed by disciplinary punishment.
And SDF added the message to the ration package...

I like how this is being cracked down hard over there while yesterday at a gun show this guy was selling cases of MREs stacked high as me.
Just out of curiosity, is there commercial equivalent rations available for public use? There has to be a market that sells similar packaged meals.

What is the sudden need for the SDF to crack down on soldiers selling their rations? Unless of course, they were selling them by the crate, which warrants proper punishment. Do you think it would be harder to get JSDF rations now considering the new packaging label?
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

A part of very many rations sold at the auction etc. were stolen goods.
Moreover, although the Japanese public official's side job was illegal, the dismissed soldier earned 2.5 million yen (about US$ 22,000) by ration sale.
Such extreme people attracted attention from SDF.
SDF fears the doubt from people molto. (The history of SDF was molto unhappy...)
In the heard talk, SDF will tear apart and discard all the rations that remained.

Wow, what a shame about the remaining rations! It's crazy the guy made that much money selling rations. I wonder what the penalty for doing that here in the US would be.
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

Excellent information! Thank you for sharing.
I'm trying to learn more about JSDF ミリメシ
It's a shame you can't readily buy these....The surplus stores in Okinawa seem to only carry standard US MREs....

Thank you, kiyoshi.
The surplus store in Okinawa may sometimes sell MCW, UGR, etc.
