Usually when the rations are substituted it is because the army rations are expiring soon. On the side of the pack bellow the menu number is the production date and bellow that is the expiration date, they are in day, month, year format. If you intended on eating the ration befor the expiration date it's a score as it is a better ration with more items. I have found that the expiration date is for 1 or 2 items in the ration. The mains and sides usually have a expiration date printed on the individual items with a date around 6 months greater then the one on the outside package.

You could try messaging Onepamop. He has a buy/sell/trade thread exclusively for Russian rations. To the best of my knowledge. He is pretty much the go to guy for Russian ration related info. He is very reasonable as well. If you choose to do business with him.

He is a great source for Russian rations as well as information on them. I've gotten numerous IRPs from him, he's reliable and the prices are fair. I'd recommend him.

Small remark on type of ration pack package:
IRP in "plastic box" is used not only by MVD (combat mission), but also by military units located in "hot spots" and which are carrying out tasks in difficult conditions.
Handles on the bag is very convenient to use during transportation - it allows to mount several packages on the backpack straps (soldiers noted that it is very convenient).

And!
MVD - It was, is and will be=)!
National guard - this is just a project now, and will be carry out a wide range of tasks.

How will the national guard operate in comparison to the MVD and the Russian Army?

Will the National Guard be using the MVD's IRP?

Also, what is your favorite IRP? :)
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

The ration with a star on box is that ration which now in army.
The ration in blue packing is a ration for the Ministry of emergency situations.
The dry ration in green plastic packing is a ration for Internal troops. Internal troops are a part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that is actually it something average between police and army. Carry out a set of tasks - from dispersal of football fans before fight against terrorism.
Dear forumites, upon purchase of rations I don't bear responsibility for passing by a parcel of customs authorities of the USA,Canada and other countries. You make all purchases at own risk. Please consider it at the order of rations
