Warning to Bob, don't look at the photos unless you want to risk getting into more trouble with the Mrs with more Montana talk, haha

Glacier National Park (Montana)
Hello fellow rationauts. My calendar just so happened to work out perfectly so that I had three days with no obligations, so I decided to satisfy my craving for the amazing scenery and wildlife in Glacier National Park. My wife wasn't able to come with, which means that it is also now a rations trip!
In addition to my sightseeing and general lounging and drinking cold beverages at the campsite, each day I will be subsisting on a foreign 24-hr ration. Tomorrow is my first full day here, and I will be using a special one that I've been saving for the occasion, a German ePA Typ II, courtesy of my good friend, Housil. I also brought along a French RCIR and a British ORP (menu 15, and I'm looking forward to the "all day breakfast"). More pics, and reviews to follow in the upcoming days. Reviews will be posted in the appropriate review thread. I'll add more scenery (and hopefully wildlife photos) to this thread.
Warning to Bob, don't look at the photos unless you want to risk getting into more trouble with the Mrs with more Montana talk, haha

Hey Housil! When you are here in the States, if you can, try to spend some extra time here and we can get some of the guys to jump on the AT for a section hike for a couple days. We can either do Virginia since we will be in Doswell, or we can do a section in TN since you will be in Charlotte beforehand.
Just a suggestion brother. But the AT in October is breathtaking! No need to bring any camping gear. With the survival school I have enough gear to outfit a dozen folks with everything they need except clothing.
Wouldn't that be awesome!

Thanks Yowie! It's an older (1998 I think) Coleman Taos. The outside has taken some hail over the years, but inside it's almost like new.Yowie wrote:Holy wow. ☺that looks so great. Have a great time mate, can't wait to see your photos and reviews.
