[First Post]1963 seven oceans emergency ration

Post by thesmokingdutchman » Tue Jul 12, 2016 4:02 pm

Hi guys i will first introduce myself, I'm Cédric and come from the Netherlands.
Little while ago i came across a video of Steve and then Gundogg, and before i knew i was watching stickyfingas, rc gusto and gschultz and the ration fever got me :P
But to the point i'm collecting some various ration's and MRE's and also send two dutch one's to Steve already and today i came across something that just has steve written all over it but can't find any information about.
It's as you can see in the tittle about a 60's ocean emergency ration out of Norway from the seven oceans company that still exists.
So one of you guys ever came across these?

Welcome
I must say I am fascinated with civilian emergency meals made for boating, wilderness survival or the Cold War bomb shelter.
Looking forward to reading about any information found on these rations

Wow!

Rations older than me.

So what do we think is in this tin? Just the Liferaft biscuits (The sugary fatty kind) or sweets and hard tack?

Have you been in touch with Seven Oceans to see if they have archive inventory?

I love the fact that the tin is printed in English and the Cardboard cover in Norwegian?

also cant wait to find out what's inside i bought with almost no info and the seller didn't know what he had.

Great find! I hope the company has some sort of information to give you.
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!
