The cases of MCW's for $120 shipped is probably as good of a deal as you'll ever see on those - I suggest anyone who wants those things to buy them before they're gone.

I got 2 cases and the only issue (not much of one) is there are a few duplicate menus - menu variation is maybe 8 menus instead of 12.. who cares.. I have seen cases of MCW's sell for $200-$250 and one time a lot of 3 2005's (yes, 05's) sell for $87 during a MCW drought.

Ah heck I am buying another case right now. :)

I never knew they would go for so much! I was saving up for a gun build kit and some camping items (not to mention college  ) but I might just get a case and resell them for profit. Or eat them probably, i'm on the fence.
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

It may be a great deal but i've decided not to purchase a crate, too much to worry about financially right now. Medical cost for my tmj or whatever it's called and my tinnitus. Plus college is going to be a doozey.I hope another deal like that strikes in the future when I'm a little better well off.
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

the main thing i've learned about eBay is to not click "watch" on an item - save the URL in a spreadsheet with columns for dates etc.

use the outbid feature up to the level of your comfort, say $20 max for an item - literally wait till the last 10 - 15 seconds or less if you have a speedy internet connection to place your bid. i try to bid a few dollars up from where i see the last bid just before i hit the button.

if you work it right and your bid isn't the highest, your outbid will kick in and with any luck you will "snipe" your prize.

all's fair in eBay if you're doing it manually and using their auto-bid robot.

My wife found out that the Clutter Barn will be open this Saturday. I remembered that I had made this post, so I looked up the exact name of the place and it is located next to the United Church of Underhill at the Park Street triangle. They always have tons of stuff from AMWS so it could be worth a drive for the field gear and ECWCS items as well as the cold weather rations. I've also found interesting surplus sleeping bags, shelters, etc. there, good stuff for camping and not just collecting. Not sure if I can get there until next month as I have training Saturday morning.

I don't leave near that area unfortunately, I live a few hundred miles southwest of the north east :(
