Here are a few guesses from me.TechManDan wrote:What happened to the irp prices on ebay? It seems like all the sellers significantly their prices! I was able to get 3 packs w/shipping for about $70 a couple months ago and now they're over $100?! I was able to get 5 pack's for that price and now those are going for over $150
1.) Russian economy is a bit down lately due to oil prices and whatnot
2.) Geopolitics: Russian proxy war in Eastern Ukraine, internal struggles in the caucuses, troop deployments in various regions of the world and possible shortage or price increase because of production may not be able to keep up high demand
3.) modernization of Russian military, despite the economy, the Russian government wants to further modernize their military. Just take a look at the new SU jets and new modernized Armor program from their military. New Arms, vehicles, technology updates, and restructuring cost sheer amounts of money. They might also be developing a newer ration in the future...hopefully
4.) The market. Military surplus, militaria, MREs, and so forth have a growing market. Items from the cold war and modern day are selling like hot cakes. Take firearms for example: How much did it cost to buy a WWII era rifle 10-20 years ago? Now compare those prices to today. many people are willing to pay alot of money for things they want. Russian rations may be an example of this.
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

Last Sunday, just one hrs far...![]()
I live a couple miles from a large river and we haven't had any large flooding in years. Not to mention I live on the lower side of a hill.

I hope I never had to see what you have already witnessed firsthand.
Stay safe.
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

Guess nr. 4 is possibly the only one that counts here. 1/2/3 are here for years and OP is saying jump from 70usd to 100usd was made in just few months from now. Sellers wants more money, maybe prices in surplus shops went up and resellers are adjusting to that.FREMONT wrote:Here are a few guesses from me.TechManDan wrote:What happened to the irp prices on ebay? Beside there is always non-ebay places to check like contacting Sergej at https://grey-shop.ru/Accessories-Other/ ... ood-ration and ask him for shipping cost to USA, maybe it's cheaper then ebay nowadays.

Re: Russian IRP prices
Their prices are ok. When factor in shipping it's almost the same as ebay prices. However their shipping is via air mail, so it will definitely arive quickly. The sellers on ebay tend to use regular mail and can take 2+ months. I usually get air mail from Russia in 2 weeks or less. The site also offers ems, which can take about 5 days to receive. I will definitely keep this place in mind when I want my next order.Asger wrote:
