Absolutely fascinating stuff.

What a find for the archive. I think those are some of the best pictures I have seen of WW2 rations.

I think the people who put these rations together were fantastic, sustenance and something of the comforts of home. `The sweets and tobacco must have been particularly favoured and quite a prize.

Even these days, I remember playing in a poker tournament in London. I had brought along some of the hard candy 'boiled sweets' from UK rat packs and a chap playing opposite me was so thrilled, he hadn't seen them since his Army days and ate a great many of them.
