PLA instant ration thread

Post by kidd » Tue Jan 12, 2016 11:01 pm

I found a translated web page while googling PLA rations featuring a Chinese reviewer! Its quite amusing and this package version of the PLA Instant Rations (seems to be a kind of iron ration like FSR) actually has English words on it.

I'm sorry about some of the translated comments, FYI I am not PRC Chinese nor do I hold with the opinions expressed therein.

Very informative mr Kidd. I would like to try the meat component in this ration. It looks like it would go very well the U.S. MRE vegetable crackers. My own opinion of these compressed blocks is they are practical. The one I ate filled me up as it was designed. It could be divided up to last far longer. Or used as a hot breakfast if boiling water was added. I think it is sweet enough to eat without sugar if hydrated . I still am puzzled as to why they do not provide a packet of tea, sugar or one pre cooked soft noodle retort package. That would really expand the meal without taking up but a small bit of weight and space.

I am ready to try one more now,
