I would like to announce my very first trade through MRE Info. It was not a scheduled or requested trade with steve1989. He offered to send a abandon ship survival ration to anyone interested. He came through on his end, and as a means of thanking him, for it did have to cost him something to procure and mail the item. I decided to send him something in return. Even though he stated he was not looking for anything in return. This has given me a bit of confidence going forward. I will be open to more trades or swaps after the first of the year.

I tried to trade with Rationcollector19.
However, since I was not able to regard him as an honest partner, I stopped the trade.

Laughing_man...good thinking on your part!!! Unfortunately I didn't catch on until it was too late!

I was shocked to see him sign on as civildefensefan...AND to see him make comments about me & the trade he screwed me on as rationcollector19...I can't believe how thick skinned that guy is!

Steve1989, that was good detective work there that you did...figuring out that was the same guy!!! Sorry to hear he scammed you too!!!

Hey Daku,

I came home yesterday evening from a nice camping trip, and saw that fellow had actually sent my stuff (he ruffled up the 1965 Charms I sent pretty badly though, looks like he twisted the package or something) back after a ton of assertive messaging on e-mail.
Convinced the man isn't all 100% there or something. Personally, I was so upset not about my Rations, but the fact he fooled me - and made me thing the stuff I'd sent was going to a 10 year old kid just getting into Rations, and a Navy Veteran.
Actually guys, I was so frustrated when I put it all together and figured it was the same guy, I was literally having tears of frustration.

Pleaded to him over and over to refund your money Daku, heck - I have the whole conversation saved and he is a slick one - or like I said maybe just not all there mentally.

Ok, here is the kicker folks, this is the last thing he said and it actually made me think.. "HUH!?" I gave him a slightly sneer comment back, but understandably so - his explanation was laughable at best as to why he scammed you for $150, Daku.

These were our last 2 messages to each other:

(James Harkin (his actual name)): Kindly remove your feedback.

(Me): Now you wanted to give me an explanation the other night for all this - now is the time to explain that, I am ready and willing to listen. We have reached that level and layer of trust. Which is good progress, and thank you for your cooperation.

Explain why you scammed Joanne (Dakujaku) out of her money, time, and resources, and also why you came back with a new name and literally talked to her and Laughing_man pretending to be a sympathizing and helpful member - ingratiating yourself into the community - until I flagged you as an impostor - which then you deleted your account again. Why did you use 3 names total? Bret Morgan, Matt Moragn, and James Harkin - also, I want to know all your screen names and your true name and location

(James Harkin): Those two were my only screen names for the site. As to why I came back with a new screen name. I was away from the site due to loss of power and a small medical problem. When I came back I saw what everyone really thought of me and since I have a past of being bullied,I didn't handle it very well

(Me): Oh that's a real shame, what was your medical problem? And your power went out? That's tough - so you must have really had a hard time accessing someone else's computer or phone to access the internet and refund Dakujaku's $150. Tough stuff, man. And you were bullied in life? Tough life, you really sound like you're down on your luck. I'll make sure to mention all of that in my feedback for you. :)

So in the end guys, he came onto MREinfo, a site filled with good, trusting, and honest people to make his rounds of scammy shenanigans and his explanation to why was because of "having a past of being bullied".

I found it in the end to be absolutely bizarre!

Daku, I am willing to send you one of those Food Packet Abandon Ship packs, and a few other goodies for Christmas if you PM me your address. You and I both learned valuable lessons and will be OK in the end. :)

I also want to thank Kman for helping me so patiently and diligently with grace and efficiency. I am in your debt. Thank you so much.

As for my original feedback to Civildefensefan10, I will go back and edit it to effectively "tone it down".

Steve,
You are an asset to the site...Thank you for figuring everything out and getting to the bottom of this.

I don't feel that you should make up for rationcollectors (or whatever his name is) mistake. Go ahead and send the food packet and goodies to someone who could really use it. I'll be fine...I'm just thankful to have learned a good lesson out of all of this...and see that there are still good people out there, like yourself and many others on this site!

Thanks everyone for all of your support throughout this ordeal LOL.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

JoAnne

I apologize for the long absence here and the long waiting for Apocalypse and ToxicCarbon. We have a pretty ugly situation in Eastern Europe, the little war in Ukraine, annexation of Crimean Peninsula, the "refugees" invasion and also we had an terrorist attack attempt on the national day from an hungarian extremist. So, I've spent last two years on/off the military and medical training.

Good news is that I'm back with an new batch of chinese rations. Priorities are:

- as I said, Apocalypse and ToxicCarbon (I need your addresses again, seems that I've lost it).
- Bypah
- Norge, if he's willing to trade.

PS. Name_not_found, are u still alive?

Just wanted to post/bump and give a BIG thanks to both Gundog4314 and housil :D :D :D

Had extremely easy and pleasant swaps with both, looking forward to possible future trades.

Thanks again for everyone's help!
