These look really delicious - has anyone tried one yet? It looks like 31 have sold already and there are more than 10 available so this guy has a fair amount of them for sale.
I felt this was worth sharing also because of the beautiful pictures he provided of each - it's making me hungry!
Ok, I just gave in and ordered menu #3.
I will let you guys know how it goes - and when I get it I will provide pictures and a review in the International Ration Forum.
Oh wow, this guy also has another type of Chinese PLA Rations too!

I just ordered Menu #1... looks good!

That's fantastic! I am glad you have some in your collection - I don't blame ya on your reluctance to try one because who knows what the heck it is! heheh
I love Name_Not_Found's Chinese Ration Super Thread - what a joy to go back and look again. I think when I do my PLA Ration reviews it will be on that page - would be nice to freshen that thread up a little with some new updates.
Also, if NNF ever reads this - we miss ya, dude! Come back - if you do I will send you a Ration as a bribe!!
I decided to go back and buy 3 more of the cheaper ones - oh boy I just bought 5 PLA Rations today.. I shoulda just gone to my local Chinese Buffet and saved a little money..! Hehehe just kidding!

Hey all,
I've done business with the seller Steve posted too. They are great, have fabulous customer service and tons of inventory. In fact I shall be doing a review on one sometime in December.
Cheers,
GD

Hi guys! I've bought some PLA rations from this seller twice on eBay now and have had a good experience as well. I don't dare eat them, but they go well with the collection.

The dry rations are okay if you like the compressed food bar as your main source of sustenance. I actually liked them so it was all good for me. The heated ration was pretty tasty too. Looking forward when my box from Xia which should be in the next few days or so.
Cheers

I, too, have ordered from Xia. Waiting on a batch of menu #3 and one of each of the green smaller packs. I also ordered a few other random items about six months ago and was very pleased, so I looked for this same seller when buying rations.
"I must not fear, for fear is the mind killer"
So far, I've managed to try: US MRE, US LRP, US FSR, Chinese PLA rations, French RCIR, Spanish ICR, British 24-hour ration

I just filmed my review of Menu #3 and will have it posted to yt after I post the Denmark Ration. I was pretty impressed with it overall. It was better than the type 9. I highly recommend it to all of you that are interested.
Cheers,

I cannot conceive of the reluctance to try out something "unknown" that some of you express. I love Asian, African, Middle Eastern foods. Come'on...! Just how bad can a mass dispensed Mil-rat be? They are planning on thousands of troops consuming these regularly in field conditions.
FDR said, "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself."
My mamma always said, "U Dang Foo, you won't know if you don't like it, if you don't try it."
[...I was fifteen before I found out that that wasn't just my Chinese name]
I have been promised that a PLA rat is winging it's way to me as I write.
It WILL be eaten.
I am open to the challenge. Afraid that "that" one will be too odd for your taste? If you have a rat that is sound, tight, and not obviously or suspect to be damaged. Get it to me. I'm old and tough and love to eat.
I might draw the line at some things that are "known" to be revolting, like Surströmming, but not on much.
