British WWII Ration Part found on french beach ???

Hey guys.

We visited northern France last week, in the Departement Nord-pas-de-Calais. There were lots of old german bunkers at the beach and in the cliffs. Besides one of the bunkers I found an old plastic cap from some jam. Could this be of a british WWII ration?

It is made of white PE Poly-Ethylen. It says: ROBERTSONS BLACKCURRANT JAM, 1 oz NET, JAMES ROBERTSON & SONS P.M.LTD, PAISLEY - MANCHESTER - BRISTOL - LONDON

Looks really old, but maybe its nothing or from the 50s or 60s. I couldnt found any Google pictures so far, showing the original item. Maybe anyone of you has seen one of these before, maybe in a museum?

I don't know about that date, commercial PE wasn't available to the public until the early '50s...

Yeah, looks like in WWII rations, there is all canned goods and the rest is wrapped in wax-paper. Well, but nice item, will keep it anyway.
