1979 me in center bottom row with a PX bought pull top can of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer on Post
The bottles are Miller High Life
(No Budweiser, no Miller light)

If I recall right, you could get a pitcher of Miller High Life and a cheeseburger and fries at the EM club for $1.50...
Of course, I was only making the Princely sum of $90 a month then, so that was serious money!
Combat pay of another $65 a month AND tax free more than doubled my pay.
$2 a day to get shot at.......... :lol:
That dates me, I guess...

Thankyou for sharing! Now imagine how much the fellas on here including myself that would just flip to see if ya got an old picture of yourself eating a vintage c rat or MRE!!

I looked up those ww2 OD cans and they go for a ton of $

I love when you talk about the older times, its insight on the past that i am not even sure if alot of it would even be known otherwise!

I just picture getting a burger & pitcher for only a buck fifty.. it would be surreal. But if you were making 90 a month thats like paying 20 dollars for that now! So really, they were pulling a fast one on ya.. it shoulda only been 75 cents! :wink:
