Uk Multi Climate Ration 2010 DoP.

I am going to start with the photos - get them all up on here and then I can comment picture by picture.

Unboxing - I must say, there is quite the variety of foods in this Ration. They sure don't short-change their troops on menu variation.

I don't know what happened - but the Tropical Muesli was off.. I ate it, felt strange, went outside and leaned over... out it all came - ralphed it all up do easily that there had to be something wrong with it or maybe I was allergic to something in it? Oh well, chalk it up to the odds. No worries.

The 'Bulls-eye' is not a target per se, rather a place to note compass bearings and known ranges to various points of interest.
IE: where the Bad Guys may be hiding, or marking lanes of fire.
Practical folk, the British ...
I do like all the brew kit/drinks they have, as well as some really good snacks.
Too many main meals with beans, though.
Must get interesting in a small foxhole.

Hey dirbag, thanks so much for helping me out on that one! I just for some reason thought I'd read somewhere it was a bulls eye, but maybe I was just imagining that, who knows. That would be more likely

It makes more sense it being a compass bearing tool - so neat! Thankyou for clarifying, that is actually a lot more interesting too, very practical indeed!

I am going to keep posting what I've photographed so far -

I still have not finished this ration - I am taking the remainder of it on my next camping trip - hopefully within a week or 2.

Thankyou Housil for the warning on the Wet-Wipes - they must have some sortof soap that is less mild than the US MRE Moist Towelette - Probably best mixed with a little water or just to stick to cleaning your hands or less sensitive parts of the body.

They contain also some lemon acid, so you can clean your hands from fat but also wipe your face for refreshing.

Now if you could help me with this translation - what is this stuff?

It made me sick! I don't know why, but I ate it, felt funny and went outside, leaned over and puked it all up so easily that it had to have something wrong with it. Oh well, chalk it up to the game of: "I'm eating old food" but I was surprised considering I've ingested MUCH older food without getting sick.

I see the label says 'With Milk' I wonder if the powdered milk went bad? Rolled Oats are supposed to last for many years



Boiled Sweets. Actually I feel these are better than your average hard candy. A nice vibrant fruit flavor - varying flavors all are good. A little more natural and flavorful than say Fruit Lifesavers or something.

I heard the British are very good with this type of hard candy. If they have a bolder flavor than American hard candy that's sounds good. Are they better than CHARMS?

Hey Norton - I think you hit the nail on the head there on the British UK Tropical Mueslie I'd had. The dried milk DID kinda taste slightly off or something. Not in a bad way - just different from regular dried milk.. heck it still might not have evn been that but I am starting to think it is the most likely culprit.

Ok folks, here's another neat one for tonight - a Polish Military Ration.

I am going to get the photos up and then will start adding comments photo - by - photo mainly since I want to get a few things up tonight.

We can always elaborate on this stuff later - but I want to give you all the visuals first. It's more fun that way.
