It comes in a nifty aluminium case that's sealed with duct tape. This one was packed in 2011, so pretty much fresh as it gets

After opening it up,
Top pamphlets is a list of contents and instructions for water purification. The two wires you see on the left are for converting the case into a canteen for boiling water. The energy drink powder had already become solid, so it appears the duct tape wasn't that great at keeping out the moisture. In there is two bars of chocolate, pack of M&M's, small muesli bar, packet of biscuits (scotch fingers), tea, coffee, sugar, milk powder, beverage powder, matches, toilet paper, scouring pad and the usual plastic bags.
This a bottle of water purification tabs with a wax seal on the top. Smart move. There's 50 tabs in there..
Here's everything unpacked. The yellow stick on the right is a spring loaded utility knife, which I thought was a nice touch. Only one blade in it though and it feels a bit flimsy. Light duty only I think. You won't be sawing through logs with this
