What's the best price I can get?

Hey all, running low on my MREs and components for homemade rations. I mean, there's always tuna, salmon, and the Hormel Compleats (if I can find a good price on some larger FRHs. Can anyone with more experience in buying these things point me in the direction of some good prices on rations or ration components?

You can always keep an eye on Emergency Essentials and The Epicenter. Depending on where you live, shipping can be a bit pricey on smaller orders. It tends to even out when buying bulk items.

You can always try the army navy stores in your area. Up here we have one called "Army Barracks". They always have '10/'11/'12 full paks. It's a crap shoot what's in the rack any given day, but $7.99 gets you a full, sealed meal.

I like to have a large mix of MRE components to build my own meal menu for camping or canoes trips. So buy from Epicenter myself. Their prices are competitive and very important to me. Is they have a wide section of separate entrees and sides. Also they sell the accessories. I can combine Military entrees with Civilian counterparts and have what I want and not waste any food.

By the way they are very friendly and customer oriented, they have sent me emails letting me know a out of stock item was now available .

Hadn't looked at Emergency Essentials (at least not in a while). I like going to surplus stores, but the closest one is like 50 miles away, so I have to find stuff to get me by in between trips. Epicenter is a site that I always linger on and debate purchasing from, but never did. I can be kinda finicky, so I like the idea that I can buy individual items and tailor them to my tastes. Only downside is missing the mystery of opening up an MRE with only a vague idea as to what's in there XD
But hearing all the positive experiences with The Epicenter has me really leaning toward making some purchases.

Sometimes it greatly helps if you live near a military base, or travel near one.

The grunts usually stock up on them, and then have to sell them dirt cheap if they get transferred or deployed.
