As a proper southern gentleman...let me just say...

If you don't like grits, its because you haven't had them prepared right. Never trust anyone not born (or at least naturlized) in the south to make you grits for the first time. Unless, of course, you are Italian. In that case crank the grinder knob one more turn and get to cooking :)

And, if you want a true, southern, Slap-ya-momma meal, let me make you a batch of Shrimp-n-Grits sometime...Have you singing a different tune...




While we are on a breakfast thread, and as a southern gentleman, I must express my displeasure at the Natick people...you MUST have biscuits when you have Sausage and Cream Gravy for breakfast. Get it right. :evil:

SOS over biscuits with a couple of chopped hard boiled eggs mixed in...
Now THATS a Navy breakfast, which probably originated in the South.
