Nice pics and info, rik_uk3! I noticed that there was no mention of the folding hexamine cooker and fuel tablets in the sundries or anywhere else. Are they still issued with the 24hr rations?

Hexi stoves are a separate issue so still used. These days a lot of stoves are available for patrol use, Primus Omnifuel and the likes of small Coleman may be there to use. One lad I know said a lot of troops took there own small stoves ETA stoves/Jetboil sort of thing.

yes thats boil in bag main meals.
pretty tasty most of the uk boil in bags.

Thanks for the reply rik_uk3! :) I wonder why they are no longer issued with the ration, mebbe to save weight, but probly as you said with the availabilityof stoves forpatrol use.
