I definately agree with you there norge! Unfortunately I no longer have the "sources" I had when I was in the military. At that time, being a medic on an ambulance crew, we were like guardian angels to the guys in the ground units we supported. They could not do enough for us (according to them), and we were usually able to get extra MREs just because they were so thankful to have us with them. Especially in the cold winter training at Devens or Camp Edwards when we had a nice warm(er) ambulance track or ambulance hummer for them to sit in and thaw out their hands and feet.

NNF yes they say "not for sale to public" or some such on the outer packaging.
Rationtin440, I am not sure about the regulations, I will have a scout around and see if I can find out.

My theory is that now most of the Australian Army is home from Iraq and Afghanistan, there are no diggers bringing them back. The Defense department are probably cracking down on the odd sale as now they are stolen from stores not ones issued and not used.
