You're right Ws6, and as I recall it was also said that the lead paint in the cans themselves had the potential to cause health issues, but I ate MCIs one or two weekends a month for nearly 6 months before we finally got the brown pouch MREs and all these years later I still have no brain damage, so good to go! :D
