I received an email from someone who found a couple of German rations in her late father's collection and she was trying to figure out what years they might be from. Here's what they look like - a Type II and Type IV EPA:
Just from the pictures, I'm guessing sometime around the mid to late 1990s but does anyone have a more informed guess?

Hi Kman,
they are not from the late 1990, because you can read on one the pruduction year, it is 1988.
Also in the late 1990 there was no menue type IV. And the look of the sausage can speaks also for an 1988.
Best regards
Rudi
Here you can read "hergestellt 1988" means manufactured in 1988
