French RCIR Manufacturer?
Does anyone know what the mfr for the French RCIR is? Or how I could contact them to buy by the case? I am hoping to buy 10-20 cases.

Inaugurated on September 17, 1993, the center of conditioning of the rations of combat is an ultramodern, single pilot site in Europe. It is specialized in the production of the rations of combat to the profit of the three armies and the gendarmerie.
The starting of the chain of conditioning of the Bridge-of-C coincides with the manufacture of a new R.C.I.R. whose conditioning takes account of all the new advanced technologies, automatisms, robotics and data processing, known of the economic and industrial world.
Born in 1984, the individual ration of combat réchauffable is a sharp success, related on the new possibilities of management, the quality of the constitutive products, the know-how of the various actors of agro-alimentary progress.
The conditioning of this ration is certified ISO 9001.
The center of conditioning is also in charge of the manufacture of the special rations (FARMHOUSE, UACS, RILC) and since the beginning 2003 of LAUGHS (individual meal of exercise).

Too bad
Too bad there doesn't seem to be any source for the French products. If they are truly state owned, it would be difficult to get. Perhaps I could call the French embassy?
One problem that I'm running into commercially is that there doesn't seem to be an easy tariff category for customs purposes to import MRE's. I did send an email to the customs hotline here but never heard back.
I'm giving up on getting French products. Does anyone think there would be demand for Norweigan Drytech rations? My goal would be to buy maybe 10 cases and sell a few to keep costs down.

Can't do it at that price
Can't do it at that price. I would like to, but with those shipping rates, you would have to charge almost $25 a ration for it... assume it's the same price as American MRE's, tack on 110 shipping and individual shipping to people....the numbers just don't work out.
I'd hoped to be able to import ten or 15 cases of RCIR's for $300-400 shipping plus MRE cost and sell until I broke even, but it doesn't look like it can be done...and the Drytech rations wouldn't fetch as much as an RCIR on Ebay anyway...
I guess I'm out.

Hi everybody !
You can buy french rations on the website of the french company USMC :
www.usmcpro.com
This company sells 12h and a 24h ration packs. Each pack contains the stuff you can find in a french military ration. Just the package is different.
It's very difficult to get fresh french rations, even for a former french soldier ! No hope if you know nobody in the army... And rations on ebay are generally too old to be good...
Best regards
