Canadian IMP Breakfast/Lunch Menu No 6 - Beans & Wieners

New year, new review (quicky)!

And back, just in case the numbers are of interest to someone:

All the standard IMP accessories:

Plenty of wienie bits, sweet and salty beans. Not very much tomato taste. For North Americans, this entrée is exactly like typical Heinz or "no-name" canned wieners & beans. I'm not sure if there is an equivalent in the EU or if it is comparable. More than enough to be full with the bread, so I didn't eat the fruit.

I can practically taste them.

The more I have of MREs the more I become convinced that we (the US) have the wrong idea with those flameless ration heaters. I understand why a flameless heater would be a good idea in some - VERY few - circumstances. But most of the time, a system to heat water as well as the meal makes a lot more sense. There's just no substitute for a hot drink when afield. An FRH is fine, but as a secondary heat method, IMHO.
