What about deer sausage?
Probably good, but also probably a waste of great venison sausage!

Damn, now I' m going to have to make some SOS soon!

rabidwolf, first welcome here in the forum and thank you for your nice review :D !

Pork Sausage with Gravy:
For some reason I was expecting saw mill gravy. It was close, but not quite the same. Not a whole lot (or any that I could tell) pepper. It was creamy and had a slight salty taste
I could believe the sausage was real.
I still have not eaten that entrée, but I hope to try it soon :) . The only thing that makes it unappetizing in my opinion is the printing on the card board "Artificially Whitened" :( .
rabidwolf wrote:Dehydrated Granola with Milk and Bananas:
This was better than I thought it would be. I added close to 3 ounces of water. Then let it soak while the Pork Sausage with Gravy heated in the FRH. Approximately 12-15 minutes.
It wasn't crunchy, but it was not mush. The banana flavor was noticeable.
I only have eaten the “Dehydrated Granola with Milk and Blueberries” until now . That dessert is really, really great, one of the best items they put in current MREs :D 8) . I'm curious about the banana one :) .

mreheater72: Thank you. The artificially whitened part almost stopped me as well. Though I figured it had to be done for some preservation reason. For dehydrated anything, the banana was pretty good.

Well, I managed to find not only the Stouffers' version of SoS, but also picked up a Menu 4 at the commissary. I'll review the Stouffers' soon, but may keep the MRE intact until ice fishing season.
