It looks like some of the images in that link, serrated leaf edge one.

The taste was a mix of kale and escarole with a hint of some other funk.

I think it would have been better heated.

The beef and egg roll was nice, but i didn't get egg flavor , more soy like

I have some translations in progress,

It my favorite quote so far.

Next up camo bag

Front

Back
3.JPG
Contents
4.JPG
Two hard blocks, 2 soft items, 1 powder item, 1 utensil set with napkin
5.JPG
These seem to be the bulk of the meals
6.JPG
Darker color, one package for two
7.JPG
Same texture as the first one, but gram cracker taste, pretty good
8.JPG
I tried to make some in to "oatmeal", it half way worked, i should have used less water

Lets get to the weird stuff
9.JPG
Powder Item
10.JPG
Tea or Soup?
11.JPG
12.JPG
I guess its soup, seaweed and fish flavor. Very strong smell, but much milder taste
13.JPG
Soft item #1
14.JPG
Its cabbage and seeds, in an incredibly salty sauce, all i can taste is salt
15.JPG
Soft Item #2
16.JPG
Its Meat
17.JPG
Corned Beef, or close to it, probably should have heated it, but it was good anyway
18.JPG
I decided to add the cabbage to the soup, it was better than either of the two alone, still very salty though
Not a bad meal either, the blocks are good, and so is the meat, the sides i think its just a flavor im not used to.

(The spoon i set aside for our resident collector, if he isnt interested ill add a pic of them open)

Its two small utensils one is a spoon, i assume fork for the other but cant tell, the ends are covered by a napkin

Almost like an MCI spoon i would say hard but still flexible

I did not notice any heating packs or other means to heat the food included with the pouches so I'm guessing that the Chinese PLA rations don't need to be cooked, yes?

I thought the same thing! When I first saw it I thought it was a spatula, but then realized the square part was just a napkin.
