Just curious

Post by rationtin440 » Thu Jun 06, 2013 9:03 pm

Has anyone tried to get onto ukrations.com lately? I tried it out this afternoon for the first time to see what their policy was concerning shipping rat-packs to the U.S. and was unable to link onto any thing in the site, although the site did come up. I'm a bit wary of trying ebay since a friend of mine was shipped 1/35th scale Tamiya MRE cases when he thought he was ordering full size real cases a few years ago.

Main page is work for me but most of the other links don't. Never seen this site before so I was going to check prices but I am unable to click the online store link.

I do get a pop-up(?) for "free web hosting" on all working links. I don't see many pop-ups so I'm just guessing that's what it is.

The site appears to be legitimate, albeit run on the cheap and full of errors and missing bits. They're using free hosting, hence the popup advertising from the provider. I haven't seen something like that since the 90s! Actual purchases go through PayPal.com though so the buyer would have the ability to dispute or cancel the order if the site failed to keep up their side of the deal. Shipping is set and the site doesn't mention international costs. I'd say just email info@ukrations.co.uk and ask for a quote and a direct PayPal invoice if they're willing to ship to you. If they're willing and the price is halfway decent let us know!

Thanks for replies everyone, will e-mail them and see what's what. I'd really love to get ahold of some British rations as well as German Bundeswehr stuff.

Much appreciated housil, unfortunately will have to wait awhile as we're barely scraping by to pay bills as it is.
