The ARK is a prepacked survival kit made by Survivor Industries. The food component is their own product called Mainstay. It's basically no different than the "Abandon Ship" rations. Very dense cereal bars, full of carbs and calories. Not really meant for enjoyment -- just basic sustenance in a survival situation.

They also make emergency water packets, also under the name Mainstay.

Yes, focus on the word dense. They are very, kinda of sugar-like. But if you happen to lick your lips because there so dry, it's very greasy.

There's no way a bowl could pass the Natick drop-tests. And the seals on the bowls are probably a whole less reliable than a pouch.

I followed up on that claim and contacted EverSafe/Wornick. A customer service manager responded with a promise to contact me directly within the next few days. She also indicated that the product launch date is May 29th. Methinks that they're just generating a leads list for now.

MW: I emailed Wornick at info@GetEverSafe.com and requested their free trial kit. I'll let you know what hoop-jumping is required to obtain the sample and what comes in it.

Well, it only took five months to get the sample kits. I received a call from a rep at wornick--er, Eversafe-- who apologized profusely for the extensive delays. He expressed the desire to overnight the material to me, I gave him my address, but the suite no. was deleted, and they used my fax no. as the contact no., so FedEx was pullin' their hair out on that delivery.

I've got three samples:

The Eversafe Emergency Meal Kit (comes with apple&Cinnamon Oatmeal entree dehydrated in bowl); Blueberry Almond Biscotti and the MRE nut raisin mix. this all comes in a 13"x9.75" clear pouch that is similar to the MRE bags but not the same mil thickness.

The Eversafe self-heating Complete Meal Kit (basic MRE kit sans the side, drink and desert) Mine is Beef Ravioli entree in retort pouch, cinnamon imperial candies, chocolate sports bar w/ choc coating, pretzels, creamer non-dairy.

Finally, the third sample is their Eversafe Complete Meal Kit which comes in a huge 10.5"x 13" resealable ziplock plastic opaque bag. Inside is a beef stew entree in bowl, trail mix, energy bar, "therma pouch" heater, Salt water packet for activation of the heater, 8.45oz water (in juicebox cube), moist towlettes, s&p, fork, napkin, etc.

The price list for pallets is included with my package based upon my client's expressed needs and UL requirements. But we're basically talking about $6-$8/unit.

kman, you want to post pix?

I don't even think denopilot is active here anymore, but kman, would you happen to have those aforementioned pictures?

Ah, it would be amazing to see, but I think you might have some trouble given that this was posted 2 years ago.
