Hotpockets

Post by BigMark » Fri Mar 24, 2006 6:34 pm

Yay, I finally won 20 of them, I really hope they're good. I'll let you know as soon as I get em. The lady I sniped wrote me a mean email saying that I had ruined her kids boyscout trip or something, but she outbid the hell out of the chicken ones I was trying to win, so those bastards can eat just one, instead of having 100 of them.. give me a break. As if I am the one person who has ever sniped an auction, and she only put the minimum bid on the item, rather than putting it up a bit, she coulda won if she had put $19, but instead she thought she'd get em w/ no competition.. what a B word.

Honestly, it was pretty tacky on her part to write you. If she wanted them so bad, she should have bid more. Those are the chances you take. As a Boy Scout leader, I can assure you, the boys will come up with something else to eat. They always do. It's not always what we leaders might want them to eat; but, they do come up with something.

What a bitch. I'd be inclined to write her back saying as much. If she really wanted to win that auction she'd have put a higher bid on it like you said. Or maybe she could have stuck around until the end of the auction. That's ebay for you.

How'd she get your email address anyway? I thought you couldn't find out members' email addresses unless you were involved in a transaction with them.

"Hot Pockets" is the brand name of a type of food you can find in the frozen-foods section of a grocery store. It's like a sandwich that's totally surrounded by bread. Here's their website:

LOL, that is what an auction is all about...out bidding the cheap bastard. Good for you, screw the boy scouts!

I had a ebay experiance like Bigmark's. I was bidding on a Brithish 24 hour ration. It sounded like It was for a case of 10, turned out to be only one 24 hour ration. Other ebay members can click on your profile to send you a message. Someone sent me a message letting me know I was bidding only for one and not a case and didn't want me to to get ripped off.
Someone must have complained to ebay, because the auctiion was changed and I was the high bidder. The seller sent me a message saying that the auction was only for the U.K. any not for The US. I won and payed by paypal.I get another message from the guy saying he would ship it since I all ready payed for it. It came two weeks later. The guy was kind of annoyed about it. If I can find his ebay seller's name I'll post it. I would not buy from him again.

We should almost have another forum here for feedback on eBay users we've bought MRE's from, sort of like the old Buyer/Seller forum on canadiangunnutz.com. One would start a thread using the seller's eBay username, and within post a description of their experience with them. Users could then post further comments or questions about that seller in the thread. What's everyone think? could be a useful tool to the MRE buying community...
