Czech rations.
I use them often for many years so I can tell you - I hate this food

anyway-
In the beginning (year 2003?) there were two types BDP1 (Bojova Davka potravin - battle ration) and BDP 2. The food inside was little bit different. Another multivitamin drinks (and coffee), another hatkers (same type, but in original French package), another jam and if I remember it well, also another type of food inside. Those were in white boxes.
In the same year, it became BDP 1 and 2 in sub-type S (special). In the inside, there was same stuff, but with extra chocolate bar and extra multivitamin drink.
Next type was KDP (Konzerovana davka potravin - preserved ration) 1,2 and 3. I`ve seen just few of them (and never after that). The difference was in cooker inside.those were in brown boxes.
After that it came BDP 3, but also I saw only few of them.
For many years we ate only two types, which was little bit disgusting. There were some changes, like new type of chewing gum

This year become four new types (BDP IV, V, VI, VII). As I said in another topic (viewtopic.php?uid=1427&f=3&t=4530&start=0). I have no idea what is inside. Well, I have, but i don`t have a list. There are changes in main food. Some new types, mostly in cans. In some types are canned vegetables etc.
About the colours of boxes (my best guess). Lifetime is I thing 2 years. The color means the series (so they can easily recognize date of manufacturing in the storage).
First series was white. After that I remember brown, blue, red and dark green. But I have no idea about the years etc...
here you have (probably) the only supplier of the rations. Websites are old...
