Well, here in Spain we say "feliz navidad" (merry Xmas) and we just don`t care about other people being offended or not. What we eat the most in my area is roast lamb but don`t get confused, I mean little sweet sucking lamb, of the small ones that have been feed nothing but milk straight from the sheep. Forget the ones feed with a mixture of water-flour-hormones, we take nothing of that. We also eat as much as we can of "turron" (nougat), marzipan, "chorizo" (spiced sausage"), pig loin, "morcilla" (blood pudding), "mantecados"(shortbread), dried nuts, and roasted chestnuts (ever since I was a little kid I can`t remember a christmas without chestnus), all this washed down with Ribera del Duero wine, and champagne being the french one called "champagne" or the one of spanish origin called "cava", as good as the french if not better. I know it`s a lot of calories but Burgos is one of the coldest cities in Spain. I hope you`ll understand, hahahaha
Some people may go for the seafood menu, but here is regarded as of new rich people who just want to show off.
For most of the spaniards (and me among them) the really important day is not the 25th, but the night of the 24th (Nochebuena) which is when all the family get together for dinner and as we drink just a little too much you`ll se my father who is now 82yrs old stating how excellent food was during his time in the service (no MREs at the time) and arguing against everybody that he scored a bulls eye at 800 mts with a mauser (it can be possible, but he sould be an excellent shooter).
All the best people and Merry Christmas.

Note: The 1st of April is when everybody plays jokes on everybody all over the world but in Spain when it`s the 28th December. Be alert as luis0449 is a f***g bastard who is always playing jokes on that day.
